Unfortunately, voice assistant support is not available. For outdoor use, the Ultimate Ears speaker is excellent. We don’t currently test for this, although it has an IP67 classification for water and dust resistance. It is lightweight and portable, yet exceptionally well-built. It features an expansive and roomy soundscape that sounds clear from all directions because of its 360-degree construction. Its 17.7-hour battery life enables all-day use without the need to recharge. We’re here with our UE Megaboom 3 review.

UE Megaboom 3 review: Design

The 8.9 x 3.4-inch, 2 kg Megaboom 3 simplifies the previous model’s cylindrical appearance while improving most design elements. The charging port has been moved from the bottom to the side, greatly improving accessibility, and the huge volume buttons on the side have been integrated into the mesh cover, among other design advances. The small power button and Bluetooth connectivity button are located on the top surface, and UE calls the giant button in the center the “Magic Button. but its primary use is playback management. A single touch stops or resumes the current song, and a double tap advances to the next song.

UE Megaboom 3 review: Connectivity

Fortunately, there don’t appear to be any failed connections or difficulties via SBC with the UE BOOM 3. (your only Bluetooth codec option). There is no need to be concerned as long as you stay within 15 meters (approximately 50 feet). Even at about 30 meters (100 feet), where there are no obstructions like walls, it is effective. In recent years, it doesn’t appear that many businesses have experienced too many Bluetooth connectivity challenges, at least in terms of maintaining connectivity.

UE Megaboom 3 review: Sound Quality

In all seriousness, the bottom end is highlighted, but the drivers are too small to accurately reproduce bass sounds. Instead, the bass of Mark Ronson’s song Daffodils sounded weaker, almost like midrange frequencies, which implies that it frequently clashes with the vocals and outshined them. Similar to the low end, the high end sounds like not much is holding it back, which causes distortion at loud volumes. This is seen in the Vampire Weekend song Horchata because the bells and cymbals overpower everything else. It’s important to note that the majority of my problems tended to occur at volumes higher than 80%. There aren’t many problems at normal volumes. you can buy this speaker from its official website.

UE Megaboom 3 review: Performance

The Megaboom 3’s bass, midrange, and treble tones are well balanced, and the UE speakers play a variety of music styles well: a bit more bass than the Megaboom and a richer overall sound than the Fugoo Style-S. Cardi B’s “I Like It” has a bass line that overpowers the vocals without muddying the sound. On Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow,” the bright, authentic acoustic guitar sound and Gaga’s rich, clear vocals were impressive. The Megaboom 3 features high volume. When cranked up to its maximum volume, it reaches an estimated nearly 100 decibels, but at that volume, sound distortion is noticeable.

UE Megaboom 3 review: Battery Life

In its class, the UE Megaboom 3 achieves a superb balance between portability, power, and sound quality. Yes, there are portable Bluetooth speakers that sound even better for the same price, like the LG PK7, but they are large and difficult to transport. However, the Megaboom 3’s battery life and sound quality simply outweigh those of ultra-portable speakers like the UE Wonderboom. For good reason, the previous-generation UE Boom 2 was one of our all-time favorite smart speakers; it featured a tough build that could withstand abuse, could get tremendously loud, and sounded excellent for the price.

UE Megaboom 3 review: Price

The music has stronger propulsion and grip due to the deeper basslines, and this solidity is present throughout the entire frequency range. In some tunes, voices may sound cleaner because of the heavier bass, but overall, the Megaboom 3 is more fun and simpler to listen to than the Megablast. There isn’t much that can compete with it at its aggressive pricing of £170. Despite being a more subtle, polished listen, the boxy, more home look of the Audio Pro Addon T3 will appeal to an entirely different audience than the robust Megaboom 3.

UE Megaboom 3 review: Final Word

The finest portable cheap Bluetooth speaker to purchase is the UE Megaboom 3. It can combine with other UE speakers to create stereo sound, can withstand the elements, plays for a long period on a single charge, and has superb audio quality. This one could be too large if you intend to carry your portable Bluetooth speaker around frequently. The $99 UE Wonderboom 3 would be a better fit in that situation. On the other side, larger (and more expensive) speakers, like the $250 Riva Arena or $250 Marshall Acton II, will produce superior sound if you never intend to move your speaker. The Megaboom 3 is obviously not for you if you want a speaker that works with Alexa or Google Assistant.
