The tool sends you two emails. The first is to let you know that the scan is in progress. You can continue to use your account while the scan is enabled. As you can see, it will invariably be a photo attachment or a video attachment. So you can easily download it offline somewhere and delete the original email for free up space.
A note on security
You might be hesitant before giving a third-party service your Gmail ID. Find Big Mail will only connect to your account for the duration of the scan. It does not see your password. The service uses OAuth and receives a token from Google for temporary access. Once the report has been sent, email IDs are not stored on the server.
