New South Wales will be the first state to launch a smartphone vaccine passport check-in and app combination that will certify your vaccination status when you scan a QR code at a location. The Minister of Customer Service, Victor Dominello, said yesterday that the ServiceNSW application pilot was underway and had worked “perfectly” so far. One way to prove your vaccination status is through your Medicare online account or the Express Plus Medicare app on your phone. The vaccine provider can print the vaccination history extract for you. Some vaccine providers, including pharmacies, also print certificates of proof of vaccination for people who receive a second dose on site. If you are not eligible for Medicare, you can add your COVID-19 digital certificate to your digital wallet using the Individual Health Identifiers service (IHI service) through myGov.
