Guide: How To Edit Feed Language in Google App
Instead of downloading a separate news app, you can get your daily dose of latest news in the form of Google Feed in the Google app. The feed is not limited to news topics only. You can also add other important things like the weather, sports updates, etc. In the feed you can view a wide variety of topics by following them in the Google Feed settings. However, the feed is only useful if it is available in the language you understand. Sometimes while we play with settings we mess around up the Google Feed language. Or in some cases Google will automatically show results in a different language. For example, recently in India, Google started showing maps in Hindi even if the Google Feed language was kept in English, which annoyed many users. So in order to bring the original language back to your device, we decided to explore all the ways to change Google Feed language.
1. Clear cache
If the Google Feed language has been automatically changed to another language, you will need to start clearing the cache for the Google app. To do this, follow the steps: Step 1: Go to device settings and tap Apps / Apps & notifications / App Manager. Search for the Google app. Tap it.
Step 2: Tap Storage under Google and click Clear Cache.
Open the Google app again and check if the original language is back. If the language has not changed, go to method two.
2. Remove Google App Updates
Sometimes an app update is also responsible for a mess up the Google Feed language. So you have to uninstall the recent updates and install a new version from Google Play Store. Follow the steps to remove Google app updates: Step 1: Under Device settings, tap Apps / Apps & notifications / App management. Then press the Google app.
Step 2: Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner of the Google App information screen. Select Uninstall updates from the menu.
Step 3: Open Google Play Store and update the Google app.

This method is very useful when Google Feed starts to display maps in a language other than your default language. Tap the icon for the map in another language.
Step 2: You will not see the Show Stories option in Hindi. I have used Hindi for reference only. It can be any language. Once you do that, the cards in the feed will automatically revert to the correct language.
4. Change the device language
Google Feed shows results based on the language of your device. If your device language is set to English, you will receive Google Now cards in the English language. So to change the Google Feed language, you have to change the language of your device. To do this, follow the steps: Step 1: Open device settings on your phone and navigate to Languages & input. It can be present directly under the main settings, in System, or under Additional settings.
Step 2: Tap Languages and leave the language in which you want your Google Now cards at the top. You have to drag the languages with the icon on the right to change their position.
Step 3: Open the Google app. You will see that the maps are now available in the language set above.
5. Change the language for Google services
