It’s basically a timestamp like a filename, but adding a string to the final as a safety net for cases where there is more than one frame per second. The result is pretty ugly, but it has some advantages. This ensures that each file has a unique name. All files are listed chronologically. And it provides an alternative way to find the file quickly if for some reason I need to search a file system by date. But sometimes I haven’t renamed the files in my Lightroom catalog.
