However, there is also a “Performance” mode (which cranks up the framerate to 60 and sets the resolution at 1080p, also with HDR). The lighting in Horizon 4 is especially stunning around dawn and twilight, and it’s at these times of day that I prefer to go for more leisurely cruises. Although there aren’t as many obvious changes between the zones as there are in Australia from Horizon 3, which transitions from extremes like arid orange desert to dank rainforest, a significant increase in height disparities more than makes up for it. The roads in Horizon 4 are more exciting to drive on since they wind over so many hills. The variety of road types also varies widely, from broad, contemporary motorways to winding streets and odd junctions that might have been created hundreds of years before the development of internal combustion.
