1. Update Windows
If there is a known bug related to Windows Store, Microsoft may have already released a patch to fix it. Open Settings by pressing Windows Key + I and click Update & Security to check for new updates under Windows Update.
If there is an update, download and install and restart Windows Store to check again.
2. Microsoft servers are down

3. Check the internet speed
Let’s not blame manufacturers for everything that happens on our computer. It could be the intermittent internet connection. Check the download speed by going to SpeedTest and make sure you are getting the speeds you are paying for from your ISP.

4. Windows Store is busy
The Windows Store uses batch processing to download and update apps on your computer. That means that only a few apps are downloaded at a time at a time. Open Windows Store and check if it is downloading other apps. And if it does, there will be a download queue. Be patient.

5. Date and time
Date and time do not match me in the past on my desktop. Every time I turned off my PC the date and time stopped running and when I restarted the clock started ticking again. Annoying as hell. Check that the date and time on your computer are correct and if not, right click on the date widget in the taskbar to select the Adjust date / time option.
I would recommend that you enable the Set time automatically and Set time zone automatically options, but if that doesn’t work, you can always set the time and date manually.
Restart the Windows Store to check the download speeds now.
6. Log out and log back in
I have suggested this solution for tons of other apps and other issues. Some users have also found success with the Windows Store. Open the Store and click your profile picture at the top to select your username.
You can easily unsubscribe now. While not necessary, I recommend that you reboot your PC before logging in again.

7. Windows Store Troubleshooter
Windows 10 comes with a troubleshooter that you can use to troubleshoot. Click on the Windows icon (start menu), search for ‘troubleshooter’ and select Troubleshoot settings.
You will see a list of Windows apps and services that you can fix here. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the list to find Windows Store apps and click on it to run it. See if it can detect anything.
8. Change the delivery optimization settings
This is a fancy term that simply means there is a hidden setting that limits the Windows Store’s maximum download speeds. What? Yes, secretly. Press Windows key + I to open Settings and look for Delivery Optimization settings.
Scroll down and select Advanced options.
Enable both options under the download settings and move the slider to 100%. That should ensure slow download speeds in Windows Store.
9. Delete Windows Store Cache Files
Made a recent Windows Update mess up the download speeds of the Windows Store? Even if not, I recommend that you delete the associated cache files to make sure that they are not interfering. Locate and open Command Prompt from Start menu with administrator privileges. Run the command below when it is open. wsreset
Once the system has finished cleaning the house, you should see a message saying ‘The cache for the store’ has been cleared. Check the Windows Store download speed again by downloading an app.
10. Reset Windows Store
Don’t worry, folks. This solution will not delete your installed app, but simply re-register the Windows Store on your computer and Microsoft account. If anything, Windows Store related preferences will be removed. Open Settings again by pressing Windows key + I and Apps.
Browse to find Windows Store, click on it to reveal advanced options and select it.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen to reset Windows Store.
