That means you can still keep data captured by certain apps or services if you don’t want to miss out on the personalization factor altogether. When it comes to manually deleting data, you can scroll down the Web & App Activity screen and delete the recorded data individually. However, using the filter controls translates into a much faster and more accurate experience. Step 1: In the Web & App Activity pane of your Google Account, click the Filter by date and product option below the search bar.
Step 2: Use the different filter controls to determine exactly what type of activity you want to view. Enter a length of time, select an app or service, and click Apply.
Step 3: You will see the filtered data immediately. You can filter it further by adding specific keywords to the search bar at the top of the screen.
Delete the data entry one by one or click the three-dot icon next to the search bar and then click Delete Results to delete all filtered data immediately.
Other Google data
There are also other forms of data that don’t fall under the Web & App Activity umbrella. These include your activity on YouTube, location data when using Google apps, voice and audio related data, etc. Unfortunately, so far there are no means to automatically delete these data types. At the time of writing, however, automatic location-based data deletion options are being rolled out, so be wary. To access your other data, click the three-dot icon next to the search bar on the Web & App Activity screen, then click Other Google Activity.
On the next screen, click on an activity controller. As with your Web & App Activity data, you can delete or filter items individually before doing this. An exception is your location data, where you can only delete everything in its entirety.
