On the lower left side of the click pad, there is a gap that exposes the inside of the enclosure. Similarly, there are several areas on the bottom where the clearance is uneven. The image gallery shows some examples of the gaps found. One wonders if these large gaps are to compensate for thermal expansion or if the manufacturing tolerances are simply too large. The Vivobook 16X OLED tends to be slightly smaller than other 16-inch laptops, even though it is a 16-inch device, due to its rather narrow bezel. Furthermore, it is quite thin, considering its dedicated GPU and powerful CPU. In contrast, the weight is quite high: at 1969 g (~4.34 lbs), it is hardly lightweight. Furthermore, including the AC adapter and cables, the total weight of the Vivobook 16X is 446 g (~2.4 kg). The keyboard is very plain, offering a typing experience but nothing more. On the right side, there is a slim numeric keypad for users who would prefer not to have one. The keys are all black, but it is interesting to note that they are not all one color: some of the command keys are gray, and the Escape key is bright red. The power button has a fingerprint sensor for Windows Hello login. It would be nice if laptop webcams were uniformly upgraded to full HD resolution, but at least the Asus one offers a physical privacy shutter. Other supported features include Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth, microphone background noise cancellation (via the ClearVoice feature in the MyAsus app), and Harman Kardon speakers; the Harman Kardon speakers are full volume and are quite loud at full volume and are positioned in front for better hearing, but they lack some richness of sound and bass.
