The Apple Watch SE is identical in design to the Apple Watch Series 6, except for two things: Colors and materials. The Series 6 comes in a variety of colors, including silver, space gray, gold, blue and red, but the SE is limited to silver, space gray and gold. While the Series 6 is available in aluminum, stainless steel, and titanium, the SE is only available in aluminum. There is not much to say about the Watch’s design, as it has remained unchanged for a few years. The Apple Watch SE is available in two sizes: 40 mm and 44 mm. You can order it with a wide range of straps and add LTE for cellular connectivity if you wish. We tested the 44 mm model in space gray (GPS) with a red silicone strap.Like all Apple Watches, the Watch SE covers the entire spectrum of health and fitness monitoring. However, it lacks some of the Series 6’s key features, including blood oxygen monitoring and smart electrocardiograms. If you depend on these features, you should upgrade to the Series 6. Even though these two features are not present, the Watch SE still constantly monitors your heart rate. It can tell you if your heart rate is unusually high or low, and signal you if it detects irregular heart rates. These could be signs of heart problems. The Apple Watch SE offers a wealth of smartwatch features. It includes all the major features you’d expect from a modern smartwatch. First and foremost, and perhaps most importantly, the apps. If there’s one thing the Apple Watch SE is good at, it’s apps. Apple has an entire app store just for its smartwatches, and developers have filled it with palm-sized versions of their smartphone apps. The Apple Watch SE is a good wearable. It excels in basic features like fitness and ease of use. However, it lacks some important features, such as advanced sleep monitoring and the electrocardiogram and blood oxygen sensors of the Series 6 and newer Series 7.
