Although most of them still made it through the soundscape, high frequencies were also handled well; our infant boy’s cries and street whistles were audible. Mode transparency is equally effective. The microphones open widely to let in plenty of distinct and clear sound from the outside, but there is no way to control how much noise you wish to hear. One of our family members was whistling for attention across the room, and we could hear our infant son happily laughing in the other room. It was fantastic not needing to pause or take out the buds to communicate; we even had brief discussions when near to one another. The feature was especially helpful when running outside because it allowed us to hear everything, including ambulance sirens, approaching traffic, and barge work being done on the waterway outside the property.
Audio performance

While conversing with the missus outside, she didn’t hear the neighbor’s landscaping equipment or chirping birds, but she did notice the wind and passing cars, which didn’t impair her ability to hear.
